Weekend Quotes #7

This week’s Weekend Quotes revolve around the topic of strength. Strength means so many different things to so many different people. Strength is something that we should all try and uphold as we navigate our daily lives.

Having strength to carry out whatever goal you set out to accomplish is an important part in accomplishing it. You will need strength in your pursuits with your family, career, education and interests. Everything worth while is never easy. If it were easy, then everyone would do it.

I found these quotes on strength to fit in well with this weeks Strength topic.

Kirk Kerkorian on Motivation: “When you’re a self-made man you start very early in life. In my case it was at nine years old when I started bringing income into the family. You get a drive that’s a little different, maybe a little stronger, than somebody who inherited.”

Robert Kiyosaki on Truth: “A lot of people are afraid to tell the truth, to say no. That’s where toughness comes into play. Toughness is not being a bully. It’s having backbone.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger on Action: “For me life is continuously being hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer.”

Oprah Winfrey on Strength: “It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from. The ability to triumph begins with you. Always.”

Marcus Antoninus on Strength: “Look well into thyself; there is a source of strength which will always spring up if thou wilt always look there.”

Mahatma Ganghi on Strength: “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”

Friedrich Nietzsche on Strength: “What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.”

Albert Einstein on Devotion: “Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person.”

Eleanor Roosevelt on Fear: “You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.”

Keshavan Nair on Courage: “With courage you will dare to take risks, have the strength to be compassionate, and the wisdom to be humble. Courage is the foundation of integrity.”
