Entrepreneurialism At It’s Finest

John Chow has made a very good, entrepreneurial living from his main web site The Tech Zone for some time now, but the most impressive thing about him is his work ethic and drive to continually learn more and advance in what he does. John continually keeps up with the latest tricks of the trade and you can find all his secrets at his personal blog, which currently has a contest going on for reviews of his site. I am not writing this review because of his contest, but moreso because I have read through his whole site and still refer to it daily. Being that I am most impressed with his entrepreneurialism and some readers of this site are very much interested in such a living, I thought I would link the two.

In one of John’s most recent posts, he states:

“My first job was at MacDonald’s. I lasted 4 hours before quitting. My second job was at the call center of a carpeting cleaning business. I lasted 4 weeks before getting fired. My third job was selling car audio at A&B Sound. I lasted 7 months before getting fired. I have never worked at a job since.”

He has entered several different fields and has worked hard in building businesses in these fields, until he finally hit the jackpot in web publishing with a technology site. This was no simple feat though. As with any new venture that hits it big, it took a lot of reading, studying, risk taking, testing and implementing.

My favorite part of John’s personal blog is his character and work ethic that transcends each of his posts. You can tell he loves what he does, and equally imporantly, he enjoys giving back to those attempting to follow in his footsteps by offering up much of his valuable knowledge. If you have an entrepreneurial sense or think this might be an area you’d like to explore, I highly recommend you read through http://www.johnchow.com/ to see the type of work ethic, mentality and character it takes. That’s not to mention the valuable advice you can take away. Enjoy and Merry Christmas to all!
