Was 2006 everything you had hoped for? Were you able to stick to all your new years resolutions in 2006?
If you’re anything like me, then your answer is probably not. I intentionally did not set resolutions for the last 2 years because I was frustrated I couldn’t keep the resolutions for several years before that. My thinking was that I will make changes in my life as the necessity for them comes up. This worked out decently, but this year I am going back to resolutions with a new twist. I am sitting here writing out broad resolutions for 2007, and will then break them down even further in 2 week periods. I am basically setting short term goals, 2 weeks at a time. I’ve found that I function best when I set short term goals so I will start broad and narrow them down to specifics. I will make a conscious effort to write out new or existing goals every 2 weeks on index cards as I usually do so I can carry them around everywhere and cross them out as they are accomplished.
Jane and I would love to hear about some of your resolutions and if you’ve been able to stick to them in years past. Let us know in the comment section. Happy New Year everyone!
